
1- 10 oz frozen broccoli florets
3 Tbs butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 Tbs flour (can substitute with Gluten Free flour)
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups whipping cream
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)
1 cup grated cheddar cheese (optional)
Cook broccoli in microwave. Melt butter in saucepan, add onion and cook until smooth and clear. Stir in flour to make a smooth sauce. Slowly add broth and cream, stir and cook until thickened, add salt, nutmeg and cooked broccoli, Just before serving stir in cheese.
